Takeaways from Event Planners on Innovative Safety Precautions For Your Event
Last week, I was lucky enough to be a panelist for WeddingPro’s Innovative Safety Precautions Webinar with a powerhouse group of experts! Geared towards other event professionals, we discussed all the ways that we have been changing up our protocols to safely host events for clients and their guests in our new reality.
You can watch the whole webinar here (go on ahead and register!), to hear about the safety precautions we’ve all taken, innovative ways we are adjusting day-of details to accommodate social distancing, and the best ways to communicate about new and shifting guidelines with safety in mind. You can also read a summary of the webinar here!
The biggest takeaway that continues to resonate for me: COMMUNICATION IS KEY.
My clients know I love to talk- and during this unprecedented time, there is no such thing as over-communication. I was so happy to be on a panel with other professionals who agree! To keep everyone healthy, we need to talk about the best, most up-to-date safety protocols, while keeping in mind the goals, worries, and comfort level of our clients! It’s still possible to hold a fun and festive event in this moment and I was so glad to share what I’ve learned with these other expert event professionals.
Thank you to The Knot and WeddingWire for hosting and thanks to the other panelists:
Terri Baskin, Terri Baskin Photography
Alexandra Hammond, Get Plated
Julia Henning, Wedgewood Weddings
and Meghan Brown of The Knot Worldwide
