This week on our Manager Spotlight Series, we’re chatting with Grace, an onsite manager in New York! Grace is a former TGT bride who loved her experience with us so much, she joined the team! Grace has been an incredible addition to our team; with her cool and calm attitude, positivity, and hilarious wit - you’ll definitely want to be her BFF! Learn more about Grace below:

Hi, I'm Grace! I'm a manager based in New York City. When I'm not managing your wedding, I work in fundraising events for BAM, America's oldest continuously operating performing arts center. I've called New York City my home since 2011, but I'm originally a Pennsylvania girl. I grew up in beautiful Bucks County and went to college in Pittsburgh.

What was the path that led you to The Get Together Events?

I got to know Lauren when I hired her for my own wedding in 2019! I've worked in events since I was a teenager running birthday parties at Chuck E. Cheese, so I wanted to turn off my "event brain" and just be a bride. I couldn't have had a better experience. I joined the team the following year so I could help other couples focus on enjoying their special day rather than worrying about the logistics they've so painstakingly planned.

What is your favorite moment of the wedding?

I love when the couple gets over their nerves and sees all their friends and family from different parts of their life come together just for them. It's so magical!

Most used item in your supply kit?

Safety pins forever! I also swear by my trusty fanny pack.

What's your favorite dance floor song?
Dancing Queen by ABBA! You'll always find me groovin' on the sidelines to that one.

Where can we find you the day after a wedding?

With a big cup of coffee on the couch, wearing the very fuzziest of clothes, not-so-subtly hinting that I'd like my husband to go get bagels from the good spot that's juuuust out of delivery range.

What is the greatest compliment you’ve ever received?
I recently charmed a grumpy grandpa who told me "You're very good at your job" after wrangling his large family for photos. I heard that compliments from this man were few and far between, so it felt like a special honor! I also swoon when a couple tells me they really did feel like a guest at their own wedding - that is the ultimate goal!

What do you love to do on weekends when you're not working?

I cherish any moment I get to spend with my family. I love to take walks with my husband, baby and dog and find the nearest ice cream truck.

Any recent cause for celebration?

I recently became a mom!

Favorite TV show you binged?

I've watched all 19 seasons of Grey's Anatomy (so far) and am looking forward to watching the next 19 seasons.

Any advice for future clients?

Don't be afraid to ask for help, whether that's from The Get Together team or your friends and family. And be honest with how you're feeling - no need to sugar coat for us!
