REAL WEDDING: Jesse + Lacy's Backyard Nashville Wedding
Jesse and Lacy's magical backyard wedding could be described in two words: COLOR and COMMUNITY.
Being a second marriage, this time around, Lacy wanted to do it HER way-- which meant small, colorful, no white dress and in their backyard! So Jesse and Lacy rolled up their sleeves and made it happen. TGT was happy to be a part of the day!
Combined, Jesse and Lacy are designers, artists, painters, a yoga instructor, a social media influencer, and all around- CREATIVES! So their wedding showcased of course all of their talents and all of their friends from all their circles.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed by a hand-made sign by one of their creative friends, followed by paintings of Lacy and Jesse, painted by the other! Guests signed colorful Jenga blocks before making their way to the ceremony in front of a field of wildflowers that the couple had planted and the greenhouse that Lacy built with her own freakin' hands.
For the ceremony, Jesse and Lacy walked down the aisle, hand in hand, after a rainbow processional of all their best friends. During the ceremony they did a "unity tree" combining dirt from each of their family homes.
After the ceremony, guests were invited to the the hand-built bar and the margarita machine, and the tent that was filled with colorful flowers, thrifted glassware, shiny disco balls and CHILLI! That's right, Jesse and Lacy's wedding was a Chilli Cook Off! And you KNOW you have cool friends when they go ALL OUT! Some friends flew their broth in their carry-on, some friends practiced all summer long! It was a FEAST of deliciousness! (And extension cord choreography is now top of the TGT resume!)
WE are SO thrilled for these two and their wedding celebration that was 100% authentically them. Congrats Jesse and Lacy!!
