Team Spotlight: Paige

Team Spotlight: Paige

This week on our Team Spotlight Series, we're featuring the heartbeat of our team, Paige—our go-to admin extraordinaire at TGT! Paige is the one who handles all the behind-the-scenes details, from scheduling calls to sending out contracts, ensuring that everything runs like clockwork. We couldn't do what we do without her.

Since Paige plays such a key role in supporting both our team and our clients, we thought it was time to get to know her a little better. So, let's dive in and meet the woman who keeps everything on track—Paige!

I'm Paige, TGT's resident all-things-admin gal!

What's your hometown?

Chapel Hill, Tennessee.

What was the path that led you to The Get Together Events?

Ages ago, my friend and fellow New York stage manager Julie started telling me about her work at TGT and, most importantly, about her amazing boss Lauren. Years went by and my life took me from TN to NYC to the Netherlands! When I was planning my move back to TN in 2023, Julie offered to connect me with Lauren. The rest is history!

What excites you about weddings OR what is your favorite moment of the wedding?

My personal involvement in weddings is almost exclusively through the screen of my laptop, but the fun part is that I get to interact with every single couple! I have also had a chance to be on site and to sit in on some meetings. The whole process is magical! Honestly my favorite part has been getting to watch my wonderful colleagues show up for couples in such a genuine and impactful way. I've spent my career being the person who makes it all happen, so watching that process occur and seeing the relief on our clients faces gives me such a warm feeling.

Most useful OR most used item in your supply kit?

Lists, calendars, inbox organization, and more lists!

What's your favorite dance floor song?

Oooo this is a hard one. You can't go wrong with September by Earth, Wind, & Fire or You Make My Dreams by Hall & Oats. There's something so fun about the wedding classics!

Where can we find you the day after a wedding?

Back in my inbox keeping things rolling!

What is the greatest compliment you’ve ever received? (at a wedding or otherwise)

For my 30th birthday, my mom gave me the print of an art piece that she said has always reminded her of me. It's an abstract modern impressionist painting of a woman falling peacefully through the air, flowers, and water, her hair trailing behind her. She said it reminded her of the way that I'm always willing to take risks and jump into new adventures in my personal and professional life. It was such a touching compliment and really helped me take pride in my unique path in life thus far. It's framed in my office as a wonderful daily reminder.

What do you love to do on weekends when you're not working?

I absolutely love slow weekend days with my husband and toddler. I also spend a lot of time with my family, all of whom just relocated back to TN as well! It's been decades since we've all lived near each other, so it's a fun new world. You can also find me attending live theatre, painting, reading, or crocheting.

Any recent cause for celebration?

Honestly, being here at TGT! Moving back to Tennessee after so many years away was nerve wracking to say the least. Finding a job I love where I get to use all of the skills I've built in my career while working alongside some truly incredible women is a dream come true.

An accomplishment you are most proud of? (at a wedding or otherwise!)

Learning to speak Dutch! I lived in the Netherlands for 4 years and I'm very proud of how hard I worked to assimilate there. I learned Dutch, worked, and even had my son there. Being able to understand the language and customs enough to get through my pregnancy and delivery was a huge accomplishment.

Favorite TV show you binged?

My taste in TV is all over the place. One day I'll be binging Bridgerton or House of the Dragon and the next day it'll be The Office or 90 Day Fiancé, which is particularly fun and ridiculous since my husband is Dutch and we've been through the US immigration process AND the Dutch one. I'm also a huge documentary lover. That being said, my TV is often commandeered by toddler-friendly programming. We're big Disney people!

Any advice for future clients?

Put your trust in us and know that we truly have your back! All of our on-site managers are incredible and you'll have all of us here at home base to help you any time you need it. Trust that you've done the prep work needed and that we'll be ready to take over and let you enjoy your big day when the moment comes. If you're feeling stressed, we're only an email away.
