Wedding Inspiration: Send Off Ideas
We love a creative wedding send-off! It’s such a playful way to amp up your exit! The original send-off, of course, was throwing rice as a symbol of wealth, fertility, and good health for the newlyweds! But these days it’s all about the photo op! And rightfully so, as wedding send-offs create joyful and FUN photos!
Some things to consider when planning for a send off: (1) Read through your venue contract to see if they have any decor restrictions (most often we see restrictions on sparklers/fire and confetti). (2) Consider how late you’ve booked your photographer until. Opting for a send-off after the Ceremony (instead of a send-off at the end of the Reception) is a great way to make sure your photographer will be around to capture it!
Check out some of our favorite send-off moments from previous couples below:
Sparklers!
Photos of guests creating a sparkler tunnel for the newlyweds, are truly magically. But more and more venues now prohibit sparklers so make sure to ask your venue contact if this is possible.
