Hello! Welcome to… my blog?

I can’t believe it, but- I’m starting a blog. As I used to be a Carrie Bradshaw of sorts in a former life, I never thought I’d find myself back in this world. But after so many years in the wedding and events industry, goodness gracious I’ve got some words to share. And what better time to start a blog then while cooped up at home during a worldwide pandemic.

At the core of The Get Together Events Co. will also and forever be our clients. I’m hoping this blog helps them through their event planning process. But during this unprecedented time, I’ve also felt a call to support and share more with my community. So far, that’s been by “Joy-Bombing” my neighbors dancing to Abba’s Dancing Queen (See below). So hey, maybe that’s what this blog can be too- positive outward energy- through support, inspiration, creativity, and love for the wedding industry and those couples navigating one of the most exciting and daunting journeys of their lives.

I’m not holding myself to any standards here. We hold ourselves to enough standards. I’m not going to promise a certain amount of posts per week, month, or year. And if you want some proper Emily Post style guidelines, this ain’t the place for you, (You hear me grammar police!? Scat!). But it will be fun. Around here, it’s always fun.

Okay… so now that we’ve got all that laid out, here goes it.
