EVENT RECAP: 52 Cards + 52 Guests at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn
Here at The Get Together Events, we LOVE our vendor friends. Or as we like to call them, our "friendors." We could not do our job and it would not be NEAR as fun, without professional partners. Earlier this year, we wanted to thank them, celebrate them and party with them so we hosted a dinner to do all of the above.
So, TGT put our heads together, thought of our dream of all fun-night dreams, and put together an epically thematic night we called, "52 Cards and 52 Guests"
First, our amazing partner- The Ace Hotel Brooklyn, offered to host us and wine and dine us. They truly let our imaginations run wild with the design and we were so grateful!
Our design inspo was themed around magic- not kid's birthday magic... sexy magic. Mysterious, Sexy, Moody, Quirky, Decadent and Weird. That was our goal. With those descriptive words, we also leaned heavy into the Saltburn vibes.
No sexy magic is complete without well... magic. So we got our magician... Greg Rubin. We also got a Tarot Card reader... Sherrie Lynne. And we were off to the races.
Smith Party Rentals found us the PERFECT napkin for our event, as well as chairs, linens and a weird-ass combination of glassware that I've been wanting to attempt forever (and let's just say y'all... silver is BACK).
Our calligraphy and design team, White Ink Calligraphy, created print materials beyond our wildest dreams with tarot card placecards and palm reading menus and invitations.
Our DJ/Musician team of June Events and Hudson Horns brought the mystic dichotomy of electric and string music. June blended in 90's beats and made all our dreams come true.
Yellow Bow Florals saw our vision and doubled down on it! Bold and weird flowers lots of fruit illusions and mercury glass. So many squeals were coming from that event space when Lauren loaded in!
PLNTD brought the quirky jungle decadence- framing out the room with plants (our favorite) and bringing our group of 52 closer together.
Lighting from Shades of Grey turned our room into a crystal ball! Blending every color of the rainbow, and every pattern gobo, it was decadent and quirky and SO magical.
With the cherry on top, custom table top neons from Goodner Supply and all gorgeous images from Eileen Meny, we couldn't ask for a more lovely night of celebration.
We regaled, we ate, we just enjoyed each other so darn much. It was well... magical. To my friendors- we love you! Let's do it again.
